Picture North Carolina includes an online gallery of fine art landscape mountain photography as well as Painted Photographs.

All work is exclusively my own.

All prints are fine art giclee prints on fine art museum grade professional papers.

Also included in the galleries are fine art prints of the Blue Ridge Parkway and mountains.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and Virginia. The parkway is a national park and is a scenic road 469 miles in length.

The Blue Ridge Parkway winds through some of the most beautiful mountains in America. The parkway is especially known for its spectacular fall colors beauty. The parkway begins at the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, flows through the George Washington National Forest in Virginia, past Mount Mitchell in North Carolina, the highest peak in Eastern North America, through the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina and ends at Cherokee, North Carolina at the Smoky Mountain National Forest.

My name is Dan Carmichael and I have been recognized as being a talented landscape and scenic fine art photographer.

I have spent years capturing the beauty of nature's mountains, including the beauty of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.

A new portfolio which consists of fine art prints of North Carolina is available as is an online video which contains the same images as the print portfolio.

The portfolio showcases a diversity of styles which includes Painted Photographs (created from original photos) and traditional fine art photography.

Sections in the portfolio include: Mountain Artistic, Mountain Traditional, Coastal Traditional, Coastal Artistic, HDR, Black & White prints. Included with the black & white prints are fine art infrared landscapes. The HDR photography has become highly popular lately as has the metallic prints.

The HDR Metallic images were included in the video portfolio even though the metallic sheen is in the paper (not the image) and cannot be seen on a monitor.

RECENT NC photography fine art prints added to the North Carolina Mountains gallery:

"New fine art prints" - A large batch of new fine art landscape and scenic NC prints will be added to the online gallery now and in the near future.

These will include Blue Ridge Mountain and Parkway pictures.

"Fern Forest" and "Pastel Trees"- Fern Forest is a beautiful image showing new spring growth in a forest of dense ferns and trees. Pastel Trees is an infrared photo of trees on a hilltop in a field of long grass that has been toned. Both images were captured along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

"Red Storm" - an artistic rendering of an original digital image that was hand-brushed and re-created with an abstract style to produce an original work of art..

"Fall Forest" - a beatiful Blue Ridge Parkway picture of fall colors. The image was hand-brushed to emulate an oil painting type of appearance.
